  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

Captain Willard is sent into the jungle to kill a former military man who has gone insane and claims to be a god. Along his journey, Captian williard becomes more and More like the man he was sent to kill.

It’s one of the best war movies ever, the best war movie not directed by Steven Speilberg.

The directing is flawless, and the acting, well, by the men, is as well. It’s not very sad, but it is hard to watch, especially the scenes with the water buffalo.

  3. Really Great 4.5

What a CAST! Marlon Brando, Harrison Ford, Laurence Fishbourne? The only thing it’s missing is Al Pacino.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0

Marlon Brando gives an amazing acting performance, his best since “The Godfather”. Martin Sheen is awesome, his decent into madness is great.

  5. Female Stars Great 4.0

Do the Dancers count as female stars?

  6. Female Costars Great 4.0

    Once again, the dancers?

  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0

Harrison Ford and Laurence Fishbourne. This is probably thier best performances.

  8. Perfect 5.0

It’s got a strong message and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole movie.

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0

The same guy who directed “The Godfather”. His movie has such great acting, great angles that make you shiver in your seat. Easy Perfect.

  10. Play Perfect 5.0

Perfect. A lot of it is full of meaning. Almost all the swears are used as a result of war.

  11. Music Really Great 4.5
  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0

    Highly realistic war sequences.

  13. Content
  14. Sordid 3.5

A real Water Buffalo was Slaughtered in the Making of This Movie. What does that tell you? It’s a war movie, so i am glad they made it very violent. There is a good amount of drugs. This movie got a easy R rating.

  15. Sex Erotic 2.7

Girls Dance for Guys, and a good amount of Boobs. There is a strung up naked guy.

  16. Violence Savage 4.3

Lots of War-violence. A animal is slaughtered. There is a headless guy, but it’s R mainly for the war sequences. A real water buffalo was slaughtered to make the scene more realistic. It is shown several times.

  17. Rudeness Nasty 3.6

A little over 100 f Bombs, a couple of “Motherfuckers” overall, there is other srong and soft language, but most language is very harsh.

  18. Glib 1.2

Very realistic- like Saving Private ryan or Schindler’s List.

  19. Circumstantial Glib 1.4

A lot of men go insane in war.

  20. Biological Natural 1.0

    Nothing really here.

  21. Physical Glib 1.2

Very Realistic war sequences-repeat- A LIVE WATER BUFFALO WAS SLAUGHTERED IN THE MAKING OF THE MOVIE!!!

Fire at Will!

Regarding willjros’s Review
I can’t emphasise how good I thought this film to be. Whilst it dragged quite substantially at parts, I’ve not felt such a build-up of tension and anticipation in a movie, and Brando doesn’t throw this out the window when he finally appears as Kurtz. It must be heartening, given the problems encountered in making this movie, that it is now so acclaimed.
