  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

A movie worthy of its epic status. “Passage” gives us a dramatic view colonial India, and the struggling relationship between the Indians and the British. This tale follows two travelers from England and their journey in to India. A surprisingly thorough examination of the emotion behind the politics in addition to a very well told drama.

  3. Very Good 3.5

Well done from the entire cast. Too many great performances to go in to really.

  4. Male Stars Very Good 3.5
  5. Female Stars Very Good 3.5
  6. Female Costars Very Good 3.5
  7. Male Costars Very Good 3.5
  8. Great 4.0

The film is a bit dated now, but David Lean exhibits hallmark style one still gets a sense of the grandeur of India, the night-and-day difference in cultures, and the angst that colonialism has caused. Add to that a really well told adventure/time/drama, and you have all the right ingredients for a classic.
