  1. Quality Help-l
  2. Perfect 5.0

This movie is a perfect example of how a comic superhero movie should be done. The story of Batman is dark and mysterious so it was only fitting that Tim Burton would be the director. After finishing up with the very different (for its time) Beetlejuice, Burton got on board to do a big budget movie on the caped crusader. Imagine how much more attention this movie would have received if the internet existed when this was released in theaters. Even without it though, this movie is still very popular and loved by millions. The thing that I liked best about this movie was the fact that it wasn’t, well sorry to say, lame much like the series with Adam West from the 60s. It was serious, dark, it was Batman!

  3. Perfect 5.0

The acting is quite superb for a superhero movie. Of course at the time of its release, there wasn’t a whole lot of superhero movies out. All of the superhero TV shows stopped in the mid to late 70s and the only other superhero who was still in theaters, Superman, had completed his fourth and final film in 1987. We wouldn’t see the Man of Steel again until Superman Returns. So needless to say, Batman didn’t have a whole lot of competition but there was still a lot of expectation. Would the characters in this movie be as silly as the ones from the TV show? Verdict says, HELL NO!

Keaton was my favorite Batman and Bruce Wayne throughout the first four movies, but when Christian Bale became the bat, my vote went to him.

Nicholson’s Joker is still the best Joker I’ve ever seen. He’s psychotic yet goofy. The makeup was excellent along with the Joker costumes and Nicholson just made it all come together.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0
  5. Female Stars Perfect 5.0
  6. Female Costars Perfect 5.0
  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0
  8. Perfect 5.0

From Danny Elfman’s theme to the awesome wide shots of Gotham, this movie is perfect all the way around. I can’t really think of anything that this movie lacked or should’ve done differently. It really is a flawless diamond.

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0
  10. Play Perfect 5.0
  11. Music Perfect 5.0
  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content Help-l
  14. Risqué 2.0

Yeah Batman is dishing out some serious a$$-kicking in this movie without any WHAM!s or ZOP!s and the Joker has the body count rising in this movie. The fight scenes were all great and looked very realistic.

  15. Sex Titillating 2.0
  16. Violence Fierce 2.0
  17. Rudeness Salty 2.0
  18. Fantasy 4.2

Being dropped into a vat of toxic chemicals by a guy dressed up as a bat wouldn’t normally make you look like a clown, it would just kill you or make a hand grow out of your forehead.

  19. Circumstantial Fantasy 4.2
  20. Biological Fantasy 4.2
  21. Physical Fantasy 4.2

Regarding MetalJunky5000’s Review
I agree with you MetalJunky about Michael Keaton being the definitive Batman. All in all, I think The Dark Knight is the better movie, though if I rescreened Batman I might change my mind about that. But I have no doubt that Michael Keaton was a better Batman than was Christian Bale.
