Barely OK 2.0
An amazing line-up of a cast couldn’t save this movie. That’s too bad, because the premise was pretty darn funny. Worth checking out just to see all the different cameos – but wait for this to be included in your cable or Netflix streaming queue.

OK 2.5
With the names here, how could you lose? Well, anything is possible: Ricky Gervais needs a good writer behind him, so he stuggled a bit with this one. Jennifer Garner as the love interest was sure cute, just not a lot of substance. Jonah Hill – subdued depressed dude – he needed a bigger role. Louis C.K? Stick to stand-up. Rob Lowe – My acting pick of the movie – perfect as the asshole writer. Tina Fey? Should have been more! Philip Seymour Hoffman and Edward Norton – little more than cameos — too bad.

Seriously big yawn of a screenplay. Total waste of acting talent. Better luck next time.
