  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

I was surprised by this movie – it was much better than I had expected it to be (which, I guess, wasn’t hard to achieve since I had expected very little). I’m a fan of Natalie Portman (man, she’s good lookin’!) and Jake Gyllen—- Gillen—- Gylen—- Jillian—- Jake G (man, his last name is tough to spell), so having the two of them and the tag-along Tobey Maguire as leads was a pretty strong front line. The movie started off strong, got a little monotonous throughout the middle, but then was quite emotional and tense for a good 20 or 30 minutes at the end.

Oh, and the drunk ex-Marine of a dad? A jaded characterization if I’ve ever seen one.
