  1. Quality
  2. Perfect 5.0

First off, I’d like to note that this film took me 2 months to find up here in Canada! Eventually I turned to the internet and purchased a copy, and I’m very glad I did. Filled with dead-pan humour and exceptional wit, yet peppered with serious elements and a message, this adaptation of the Tony-Award Winning play works wonders on film and harks back to films such as ‘The Dead Poet’s Society’ in the way it’s shot.

  3. Perfect 5.0

The original cast reprise their roles to perfection, you will not be disappointed.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0
  5. Female Stars Perfect 5.0
  6. Female Costars Perfect 5.0
  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0
  8. Really Great 4.5

Having never seen the play, and then seeing the movie, it is hard for me to imagine how they even accomplished this production onstage! No flashy special effects, but subtle scenery provides the best possible backdrop for this film.

  9. Direction Really Great 4.5
  10. Play Really Great 4.5

    Sharp and witty,

  11. Music Really Great 4.5

Compliments the scene’s nicely. Characters are once or twice occasioned to sing (in school) and it sounds lovely.

  12. Visuals Really Great 4.5
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 2.5
  15. Sex Erotic 2.8

There is mildly explicit talk about sex. Implied fondling of the teenaged boys. One of the characters propositions his teacher. The film does deal with pedophilia.

  16. Violence Fierce 1.6
  17. Rudeness Profane 3.2

A lot of swearing throughout the movie. Frank discussions of sexual acts and intentions

  18. Natural 1.0

    Quite believable.

  19. Circumstantial Natural 1.0
  20. Biological Natural 1.0
  21. Physical Natural 1.0
