  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

Although there is no actual football, Kevin Costner and Draft Day bring much of the excitement football movie fans are used to. Twists, turns, and sub-plots abound as the veteran GM makes his opponents look like neophytes. Over the top happy endings aside, you’ll find yourself cheering up to the credits – just as you would for any decent sports movie.

  3. Very Good 3.5

Kevin Costner works it – humble yet ballsy. Jenifer Garner fits nicely in to it all as the salary cap watcher. Denis Leary was fun to watch as the unlikeliest football coach you’ll ever meet (oh wait, there was Al Pacino also). Other notables were Chadwick Boseman as the passionate linebacker. Patrick St. Esprit somehow works well as the coach of the Evil Incarnate Seattle Seahawks. Frank Langella has that NFL owner persona that we all imagine. Josh Pence is also how I’d imagine an undeserving primadonna QB to be.
