I just found out that Wes Craven passed away. I am shocked and deeply saddened. One of the most creative and innovative people to ever work in film, Craven made such an impact on me and my life. His early works are some of my favorite films to repeatedly watch on a weekend binge. His original Last House on the Left disturbed me like no other film has to date.
His films may have lacked in later years but there were a few that showed he had something left to give us and that he wasn’t about to go quietly into the night.
I may have not known Mr. Craven personally but he has been a part of my life for 25 years and I will never forget him.
I always hate it when people type to someone that has passed but I feel compelled to here.

Thank you Wes for the memories and for allowing us the privilege of seeing your genius come to life on film. Rest in Peace
