1st Pulp Fiction
1994 Perfect 55 Points

Quentin Tarantino at his best. Honestly, I think this should be voted one of the best movies of the 90's. With a lineup of John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackon, Rosanna Arquette, and most of the others – this film can do no wrong. Add its hallmark witty dialog and intricate submersions in to characters and story and you have a black-comedy crime drama combination that can't be beat.

1st Fight Club
1999 Perfect 107 Points

Let's talk about Fight Club. A contemporary classic, David Fincher's surreal masterpiece makes killer use of several cinematic power tools: sophisticated CGI and film processing, faux sophisticated alienation, throbbing music, Brad Pitt. You gotta give this nihilistic triumph grudging credit. It's as entertaining and intriguing a race to rock bottom as has ever been committed to celluloid. That's saying something given Hollywood's obsession with artistic self-destruction.

The movie demands to be seen twice. Don't worry. The brilliant story's even more fun the second time.

1st The Dark Knight
2008 Perfect 173 Points

Wickedly funny, morally complex, tremendously engaging: Comik movies get no better. Worthy of its monumental hype, The Dark Knight far exceeds its immediate predecessor "Batman Begins":http://www.viewguide.com/movies/238191-batman-begins and arguably outshines the original "Batman":http://www.viewguide.com/movies/2472-batman movie, even though that long ago picture was as lauded and even more revolutionary in its day.

Avenging hero movies rise as high as their villains allow. Two Face and the Joker – especially – elevate this movie to dizzying heights: They're fascinating and compel…
