If you are in to juvenile humor like I am, you’ll love these movies — even if they aren’t all juvenile…

1st Tropic Thunder
2008 Great 92 Points

I got a real kick out of Tropic Thunder, which ranks up there among Stiller's other movies — all the better that he actually wrote and directed it. The humor was accentuated with the irreverence of poking fun at hollywood types and overly dramatic movies. Plenty of laughs all around. Great to see such a variety of top stars. Jack Black fit right in with Stiller, but it was the contributions from Downey Jr, Nick Nolte, Matthew McConaughey, and Tom Cruise that made the cast a standout. Lots of fun!

2nd Forgetting Sarah...
2008 Perfect 108 Points

This is a very funny movie with a presence of enough genuinely humorous acting and juvenile humor to break up any chance of it being a traditional "ho hum" romantic comedy. Peter Bretter did great in his role as the goofy victim, Mila Kunis of "That 70's" fame sood out as the heroine, and Bill Hader and Liz Cackowski were really funny as the best-friend/step-brother and his noisy wife. However, the real standout was Aldus Snow as the Narcissistic british rocker Russel Brand – who had me belly laughing with his antics.

3rd Ferris Bueller's...
1986 Very Good 66 Points

Fun for kids of all ages, Ferris Bueller's harmless hi-jinks, energetic panache and gentle farce make it the ultimate ditch day movie. Matthew Broderick will be forever associated with the title character, a charming conniver prone to belting out a Beatles song in the middle of a parade.

John Hughes crafted this joyous bit of mainstream entertainment during his mid-Eighties heyday.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

4th Superbad
2007 Really Great 108 Points

This movie is a must-see for those of us who are in to juvenile humor even if you are well beyond your juvenile years (as I am). I thought the bad language was a bit much — but the raunchiness, crude, slapstic humor had me belly-laughing through most of the movie.

5th Scott Pilgrim vs...
2010 Very Good 99 Points

Edgar Wright produces a perfect movie for Michael Cera and a refreshingly unique comedy for the rest of us. Life set to a video game – a style that is likely to appeal more to the younger set adds a sarcastic and funny undertone to the whole film. Michael, ever the dweeby charmer , to our delight takes on superpowers as he attempts to defeat the seven evil exes of his latest love interest. The cast of characters that surrounds him, from his gay roommate, to his high-school “fake girlfriend”, to the piercing personality of his drummer and ex girlfriend are a perfect complement to thi…

6th Kick-Ass
2010 Great 114 Points

Kick Ass kicks ass! Revel in dark sarcasm and decadent violence as an unlikely crew takes on bad guys. The premise is so out of left field, that you find yourself confronted with jaw-dropping scene after jaw-dropping scene so macabre, that your gut reaction is to laugh. And plenty of laughs abound. Average teenager dons dorky outfit aside, along comes a tween-aged girl that spills as much bad-guy blood as the goriest Halloween zombie movie. Throw in your typical teen coming of age stuff and you literally don’t know what to think about this plot – eventually you just sit back, drop yo…
