   Perfect 5.0

   Very thought provoking themes make this a powerful film. It’s definitely not your typical comic book movie. No “flame-ons!” and no “up, up, and aways!” And that’s just what I like.

   Perfect 5.0

   Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, and of course, the late Heath Ledger deserve a standing ovation. Ledger seems truly psychotic in his chilling role as the Joker. Sadism and brutality in movies have never been so convincing.

   Gary Oldman returns from Batman Begins and reprises his role as the loyal law enforcing officer. All of his guilt, anger, and desperation is eerily realistic.

    The editing is superb, despite the fact that the movie’s screenplay had to be rearranged because of the tragedy that befell those who worked on this stupendous motion picture.

    An excellent, riveting score, thanks to Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.

    The first movie to feature a flipping truck actually on set. Great visual effects.

    Quite monstrous indeed, as the Joker shoots, stabs, slices, bazookas, and explodes his way through Gotham City. Buildings and people are blown up by bombs and set on fire in this film that pushes PG-13 limits.
