  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

This film is more for the guys, but being that I’m a guy’s kinda girl, THIS FLICK WAS COOL!!

While the world was establishing contact with a similar planet to our own, the American Navy gets attacked by hostile extraterrestrials during a routing test outside the coast of Hawaii. It was up to a select few to bring down the forces using, not only, the young military personnel of our present, and ironically, the once feared enemy, but also with the help of military veterans of our past. With how much the military influences the film industry, it was nice to see the past and the present help protect their home for the future.

  3. Great 4.0

Rhianna surprised me in her strong female military personnel performance as Petty Officer Cora ‘Weps’ Raikes. She proves that she can be just as successful as an actress as she is in the music industry.

Taylor Kitsch played the role of Lieutenant Alex Hopper, the miscreant turned hero in this film. Happy to say that he fit the role well and his character pulled off some of the craziest maneuvers in military history (though we all know this isn’t possible), it looked really awesome.

Liam Neeson’s role as Admiral Shane, though it was a small role, fit with this strong actor’s professional background.

The role of Lieutenant Colonel Mick Canales was played by Gregory D. Gadson, his portrayal of an Army Lieutenant that lost his legs and needed redemption for his unfortunate circumstance, left me feeling like there is always some fight left for anyone whom has fought once or repeatedly within the military, and made me respect this character throughout the film.

  4. Male Stars Great 4.0
  5. Female Stars Great 4.0
  6. Female Costars Great 4.0
  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Really Great 4.5

The graphics of this film was amazing. Though a lot of it did remind me of the Transformers franchise as far as sounds and how the alien ships operated, if you’ve taken that into account, the film was done very well. In my opinion, this film was written to keep any person who’s ever been in the military, as well as any civilian, entertained and proud. This film certainly kept me at the edge of my seat clapping and proudly watching the once were but still is and the now and up-and-coming work together to best the uninvited hazards that came to the planet. Well written and I respect the direction that this film was taken.

  9. Direction Really Great 4.5
  10. Play Really Great 4.5
  11. Music Really Great 4.5
  12. Visuals Really Great 4.5
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 2.5

The movie kept me interested and that made it all the better.. I couldn’t help but to watch what came next. All in all, so much fun and I will watch it over again!

  15. Sex Innocent 1.0
  16. Violence Monstrous 5.0
  17. Rudeness Salty 1.6
  18. Fantasy 4.2

We don’t know if there are any hostiles out there in the universe, but if there were, I’m sure that the military would pull together like they did here without a second thought. I’d like to think so any way. This film is definitely one to own and add it between Transformers and Pearl Harbor if you want. _

  19. Circumstantial Fantasy 4.2
  20. Biological Fantasy 4.2
  21. Physical Fantasy 4.2
