  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

Director Ang Lee gives us a two-fer: Life of Pi is both great storytelling as well as a great cinematic experience. Drama through visual effects is not easy to pull off, but the man behind Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was just the man to do it. Follow Pi Patel as he is raised in an enlightened household, falls in love, then goes on an adventure of a lifetime among all manner of animals and nature beautifully brought to life through the camera and some masterful animation. Thumbs up!

  3. Awful 0.0

The notable thing about the entire cast is that they are all just so easy to get to know and like. I felt like I’d like them to be my family.

Suraj Sharma is great as the wise youngster Pi Patel – pretty much moving through the entire range of emotions – all in a believable not overly acted way.

Irfan Khan is no slouch either as Pi’s older self.

Adil Hussain was also very good as Pi’s enlightened father

“Richard Parker” the Bengal Tiger definitely is a quality character whom you’ll get to know.

Not much acting, but Shravanthi Sainath is darn cute as the heartthrob Pi leaves behind

  4. Male Stars Awful 0.0
  5. Female Stars Awful 0.0
  6. Female Costars Awful 0.0
  7. Male Costars Awful 0.0
  8. Really Great 4.5

What can I say – the cinematic experience was really great. Realistic animation that both awes and facilitates you really getting in to the animal characters. Meerkats and Tigers anyone?

  9. Direction Really Great 4.5
  10. Play Really Great 4.5
  11. Music Really Great 4.5
  12. Visuals Really Great 4.5
  13. Content
  14. Tame 1.5
  15. Sex Innocent 1.5
  16. Violence Gentle 1.5
  17. Rudeness Polite 1.5
  18. Supernatural 3.7
  19. Circumstantial Supernatural 3.7
  20. Biological Supernatural 3.7
  21. Physical Supernatural 3.7
