  1. Quality
  2. Barely OK 2.0

The biggest disappointment in the series to date. Although there were some bright spots provided by the young actors who continue to excel in their roles, on the whole this installment fell flat. In particular the screenwriting was awful. I can only wonder if the screenwriter had read the entire series or more importantly read the last installment, of which the book this movie was based on, so carefully sets up. The editing was also atrocious and at times jarring !.

I hope the franchise can pull it together for the final installment, although I fear based on how poorly this will do at the box office the bean counters will not want to spend the money required to bring J.K. Rowling’s vision to full life on the screen.
