   Perfect 5.0

   Maximillian Cohen (Sean Gullette) is a paranoid mathematician trying to find a 216 digit number that conncects to the pattern of the stock market. Throughout his journey in finding the number, he decends into madness. With people on Wall Street trying to get the number from him, and religous fanatics wanting the number to connect to god, Max cannot be sane in this experimental artsy movie.

4. Acting

   Really Great 4.5

   The overall acting in Pi was fantastic. Sean Gullette was able to give the impression he was really insane. The costars were convincing aswell, not to mention the amazingly well done monologue by the Wall Street journalist.

    Perfect 5.0

    The quality of the film prevents it from being perfect, but this is on purpose. The whole thing is in black and white, and it is very grainy- herd to watch on an old TV. Otherwise, the visulas were surreal, the music superb, and the direction perfected by Darren Aronofsky.
