  1. Quality
  2. Perfect 5.0

This film has a bit of everything for everyone. There is history, love, emense hate, there’s action, comedy, a little bit of gore, and there’s even a very very short cameo for those who like quick lays.

This film is a bit disturbing, so i wouldn’t recommend it for just ANY one. Parental discression is advised for this flick.

This is about the fall of Hitler and the courage of few. There is a bit of history that plays a vital part in the film, but if you’re not into that, not to worry, there’s plenty going on in the film to keep just about anyone entertained. “The Basterds” come into Nazi-France and start kicking ass and taking no prisoners.

  3. Really Great 4.5

Brad Pitt played LT. Aldo Raine, a hard core American with the goal of ripping apart Nazi’s anyway possible. His role as a lieutenant, really brings out the leader in him. He showed us how he can be a badass, even if his character was a bad actor himself. He was funny and yet, you felt why you didn’t want to cross him. Eli Roth as SGT. Donny Donowitz; well we all know Eli for his involvement in the Hostel films and his acting in some of the most gruesome flims as of yet (even if they weren’t very good movies), Eli did protray a Jew with a case of revenge on his mind. His character was known for beating Nazi’s to death with a baseball bat; well, let me put it to you this way, he’s ust awesome at his job. Aldo would bring him out if he really needed him to help convince anyone that was being questioned, to answer completely and honestly. I’m just saying, Eli was badass..no better way of putting that one. There are many others in the film that deserve recognition, but I am going to mention a couple more..Mélanie Laurent, she played Shosanna. Shosanna was a girl that got aaway after her entire family was bruitally murdered. Her involvement in the film was not only an eye openner, but definately an inspiration, even if how the character came about HER revenge wasn’t nessasarily the “right” way to do it. Lastly, there’s always a villian, right? Well, the BASTERD’S villian was COL. Hans Landa, played by Christoph Waltz, he was one mean SOB. He took no prisoners and he didn’t care if you were a friend at one point of his life, if you were a traitor or harboring anyone that is NOT a Nazi, you would be killed. Though he wasn’t German himself, his nickname “The Jew Hunter” suited him well.

  4. Male Stars Really Great 4.5
  5. Female Stars Really Great 4.5
  6. Female Costars Really Great 4.5
  7. Male Costars Really Great 4.5
  8. Perfect 5.0

Filmography, I have to admit, was really good. It really got me involved in the film and I couldn’t have asked for a better way of panning things out. The blood was viewed a little fake, but other than that, well done. Symbols being cut into people’s, well.. watch if you’d like to know, and how people were gunned down like animals, the mayhem and the madness, all portrayed as honestly as it could’ve been for a historical-type of film. Crisp use of colors and direction, made this film that much more entertaining for me.

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0
  10. Play Perfect 5.0
  11. Music Perfect 5.0
  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content
  14. Sordid 3.5

Well, if you want some edgyness in a film, you got it here. It was crude, filled with sick humor, and just all around a great film to get into.. if you’re into that sorta thing. Some parts of the film kept me not only entertained, but at the edge of my seat. Who was going to get away? Who was going to die? How is this going to play out? These were all of the questions I kept asking myself throughout the film. In some parts, i was actually surprised, and of course some parts were a BIT on the predictable side; but, that’s just how some flicks are. Nudity, barely anything.. so don’t try and pick those out, sorry guys, you only have a short cameo of SOMETHING, but it’s only worth laughing about. The cruelty that was shown was pretty authentic, if you ask me. If that sort of hate was being shown again, in this time, i thought that it was pretty well done.

  15. Sex Erotic 3.5
  16. Violence Brutal 3.5
  17. Rudeness Profane 3.5
  18. Natural 1.0

Well, with the course of history and the fall of Hitler, I can see how most of this is so realistic. Why not have some Jews go out there and kick some Nazi asses for killing off everyone they ever knew and/or loved? Poetic justice, if you ask me. i don’t know much about the authenticity of some parts of the film and the actual invovlement, if there was any, in how any of this actually took place, but it’s definitely a film worth watching again!

  19. Circumstantial Natural 1.0
  20. Biological Natural 1.0
  21. Physical Natural 1.0

Regarding hurwizzle’s Review
Just curious, Hurwizzle. If you were dissapointed with the film and was eager to move on with your life, why rate it a Good 3.5? Not trying to be a smartass, just curious. Also, Brad Pitt was sidesplittingly hilarious in this film, his performance was brilliant.

BTW Wick, during Inglourious Basterds, during the extended dialogue scenes did you ever just shout out “DO SOMETHING!!!!” God know I did. Still a good movie, but not one of Tarantino’s best.
