   Very Good 3.5

   Ok, kid movies are not my favorite thing. As a dad, I grin and bear-it. Every now and again, they surprise you, and The Game Plan turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It is very formulaic to be sure, but the comedic stints by all involved got more than a few good laughs. Rock almost is believable during an ending that tugs at your heart-strings.
