  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

A stereotypical action-packed treasure hunt in the Sahara desert (think “The Mummy” without the Mummy) that ends up running a second storyline inside the first (not separate).

  3. Very Good 3.5
  4. Male Stars Great 4.0

Matthew McConaughey does a really good job with an average script.

  5. Female Stars Very Good 3.5
  6. Female Costars Very Good 3.5
  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Very Good 3.5
  9. Direction Good 3.0
  10. Play Good 3.0

Totally average script. No unexpected twists, turns, or surprises.

  11. Music Very Good 3.5

The music was overall pretty good and fit the setting of the movie until the last tune when all of a sudden it was a really guitar-ish rock tune that just came out of nowhere.

  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0

    I did like the cinematography.

  13. Content
  14. Risqué 1.7
  15. Sex Innocent 1.0
  16. Violence Brutal 3.2

You know, it was what it was. I wouldn’t show it to a 10 year old, but by 15 they’d probably handle it fine.

  17. Rudeness Polite 1.0
  18. Surreal 2.3
  19. Circumstantial Supernatural 3.1

A submarine half-buried in the middle of the Sahara desert? Yeah, right.

  20. Biological Natural 1.0
  21. Physical Surreal 2.9

The moves performed by the movie’s heros are extremely difficult, if not impossible, in real life.
