  1. Quality
  2. Perfect 5.0

in short this was the best ‘blockbuster’ style flic i’ve seen in years. The key is the balance struck between scale and detail. here you have Micheal Bay at his best with the larger then life(literally) characters and set pieces but always tempered(most likely due to spielberg’s input) with lighter moments of heart and, most suprisingly of all, genuine humor. because of the care taken by both Bay and Spielberg the overall story about a boy buying his first car and trying to get the girl of his dreams to notice is never over shadowed by the stunning special effects.i dont know how they created the robotic hero’s and villans and i dont want to know. its more then enough just to enjoy the magic without asking how the magician does it.special effects have not made such a single quantum leap forward since Jurassic Park. With 143 actionpacked, always interesting and often funny moments pound 4 pound you will not get more for money in the flix this year. enjoy!

  3. Good 3.0

the real stars are obviously the CGI transformers themselves but they are ably supported by a young and enthusiastic cast who in turn are given additional weight by the presense of the eternally quirky John Turturo and elder statesman Jon Voight.

  4. Male Stars Good 3.0
  5. Female Stars Good 3.0
  6. Female Costars Good 3.0
  7. Male Costars Good 3.0
  8. Perfect 5.0

judging this purely on ‘blockbuster’ credentials it definitely busts all the right blocks

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0
  10. Play Perfect 5.0
  11. Music Perfect 5.0
  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content
  14. Tame 1.3
  15. Sex Titillating 1.7
  16. Violence Gentle 1.3
  17. Rudeness Polite 1.0
  18. Fantasy 5.0

‘autonomous robotic organisms from the planet cybertron’ is hardly dialogue you can lift out of a documentary!

  19. Circumstantial Fantasy 5.0
  20. Biological Fantasy 5.0
  21. Physical Fantasy 5.0
