   Guillermo del Toro struts his story-telling prowess by weaving an implausibly-intriguing love story between a humanoid amphibian and a quirky and homely maid. It’s the implausibility that makes this movie so impressive. One is completely drawn in by the story and the characters, and the fact that it is a sci-fi sometimes feels like a bonus.
