NO LIFE's Review

Created Jan 28, 2008 02:14PM PST • Edited Jan 28, 2008 02:14PM PST

  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

John Rambo lives in a little village just out side the border of Burma. He has moved there for the purpose of forgetting life and humanity, and the cruelties of both. Then a church mission group shows up and need an escort up river into Burma, and into a war zone. He gives them the ride and then heads back to his village to forget about them. They get captured by a rebel army and it is up to Rambo to get them out safely. To sum this movie up in a nut shell, " BLOODBATH." This was great, an aging Stallone does not disappoint. This has to have one of the highest body counts of any movie made. If you are looking for violence and buckets of blood, then this movie is for you.

  3. Good 3.0

Over all the performances were good, Stallone does a good job though he has a fairly limited amount of lines. The co-stars, well, some good some bad. The bad are not bad enough to ruin the movie, but I did find it some what detracting from the over all quality.

  4. Male Stars Really Great 4.5
  5. Female Stars Good 3.0
  6. Female Costars Good 3.0
  7. Male Costars Good 3.0
  8. Great 4.0

The over all effect of this movie was done very well. Camera work, editing, music, all of it fit together very well. Visuals were outstanding. There is so much violence in this movie that it makes the others seem quite tame. The explosions and gun fights were very well done and the blood and guts were exactly what you would imagine if something like that ever happened.

  9. Direction Great 4.0
  10. Play Very Good 3.5
  11. Music Really Great 4.5
  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content
  14. Horrid 4.4

I rate this so high because of the amount of blood and violence in the film. Sex: There are some implied rape scenes, where it doesn’t show the actuall rape, it does show women getting there clothes torn off and dragged away. Language: Not to bad but does have “F*%K” in it a few times. Violence: Off the charts. Fair warning here, the film does have a few scenes of children being beat and killed. Death and blood all over this movie.

  15. Sex Lewd 4.4
  16. Violence Savage 4.4
  17. Rudeness Nasty 4.4
  18. Supernatural 3.9

The circumstances are pretty surreal, one man takes on an army of over 100, and barley gets a scratch. The amount of bullets and explosions are insane. I find it quite hard to believe that these circumstances would ever exist in the real world, but then again this is Rambos world and anything is possible.

  19. Circumstantial Fantasy 4.4
  20. Biological Supernatural 3.3
  21. Physical Fantasy 4.1

Regarding MetalJunky5000’s Review
“there is one thing you can learn from this whole film: You don’t f*ck with Rambo!!”
