  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

The role of an upstanding citizen having a dark and evil secret life was a perfect casting for Kevin Costner. The sheer descructiveness of his character is completely hidden to his loved ones. William Hurt makes the perfect alter-ego that only Costner can interact with, and he works well at representing the deepest evil that Mr Brooks wishes to repress. I also really like Demi Moore as the conflicted cop who can barely contain her own aggression. The story is wonderfully put together and has enough surprises to keep the most seasoned of us crime/thriller afficianados on edge.

A surprising amount of graphic violence in a movie starring Coster, Hurt, and Moore. The surprise alone deepended the impact of what was shown. Rarely am I a fan of this sort of thing, but in this flick – it works great.
