Inspite of basically every element of this film (apart from the music and direction) being sub-par the film is somehow really scarey and atmospheric.

To me it’ the most cerebrally, terrifying movie of all time. The concepts alone should bring shivers upon the spine of any student of quantum mechanics. Even though this movie is over two decades old, it touched on topics back then, that are now being experimented with today. It borderlines 2001: a space odyssey in the fact that it was well ahead of its time and still holds up against any modern day horror film.
