A very funny and surprisingly sweet dark comedy. The plot is absolutely ridiculous without becoming convoluted, mostly because of the likable cast and fun, punchy dialogue. |

Denzel and Crowe at the top of their games, combined with a compelling (if familiar), interesting and assured story make this an almost perfect gangster movie, just shy of the Godfathers and Goodfellas…. |

What a fun movie! I stayed away for a long time because I didn’t want to see all the violence, but … now that I’ve seen it, wow am I glad I did. The cast is stellar, the storyline is obviously great, and I just really had a good time watching this movie. Don’t show the kids though! |
