A sequel that tries very hard. It succeeds in some places, and fails in others. I used to hate this film. But after rewatching this, I must be honest, its not as bad as I remember. Speilberg attempts to top the first film and ends up borrowing from superior films such as King Kong and Godzilla. However, this movie does keep you sucked in with some good action, great special effects, and exhilarating chase scenes. However, that's not enough to save it. The story is rather dull and there's little character(like there was any in the first movie). By no means a failure, just not the great seque… |
