  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

An epic-format movie about an amazing man. The movie is filled with historic events and reveals the method behind what many would consider an implausible approach to achieving independence through non-violence. If you are at all interested in history, and have an appreciation for quality acting and film, then this movie should be on your to-see list.

  3. Great 4.0

Ben Kingsley truly deserved his Oscar for an incredible performance. Everyone else seemed minor.. including the appearances from the more known Candice Bergman and Martin Sheen

  4. Male Stars Great 4.0
  5. Female Stars Great 4.0
  6. Female Costars Great 4.0
  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Great 4.0

Besides Kingsley’s Oscar, another 7 were well deserved for Direction, Cinematography, Picture, Editing, Costume, Art and Set . Need I say more?

  10. Play Great 4.0
  11. Music Great 4.0
  12. Visuals Great 4.0

Regarding BrianSez’s Review
I happened to be talking with an Indian this week about the great rise of his country over the past generation and the stubborn challenges that remain. Anyway he commented that he thinks Manmohan Singh, the current Prime Minister and the guy who opened up the Indian economy when he was Finance Minister in the 90s, is a greater hero to India than is Gandhi. Wow. I wonder who will play Singh if they ever make a movie about him?
