  1. Quality
  2. Good 3.0

This comedy about a, well, not so bright Paul Rudd and his sisters reminds us that sometimes the intention matters more than the execution. The sometimes annoyingly clueless Ned generates many funny moments, but I only rarely found myself in full out LOL mode. I was more entertained by the great and versatile acting by the sisters and ex girlfriend (Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Emily Mortimer, and Katherine Hahn). That said, the ending a-la ‘revenge of the dumb’ was very entertaining, and I had an overall good time watching this movie.

  3. Very Good 3.5

Loved the sisters! Especially the sarcasm from Elizabeth Banks)

  4. Male Stars Very Good 3.5
  5. Female Stars Very Good 3.5
  6. Female Costars Very Good 3.5
  7. Male Costars Very Good 3.5
  8. Good 3.0

The clueless character Ned was a little over the top for me. No, it wasn’t in the league of ‘Joe Dirt’ or something like that – but nonetheless a little grating at times. Maybe that was the point, but the LOL generation factor didn’t make up for it. Some slapstick may have been in order.

  9. Direction Good 3.0
  10. Play Good 3.0
  11. Music Good 3.0
  12. Visuals Good 3.0
  13. Content
  14. Tame 1.3
  15. Sex Innocent 1.3
  16. Violence Gentle 1.3
  17. Rudeness Polite 1.3
  18. Glib 2.0
  19. Circumstantial Glib 2.0
  20. Biological Glib 2.0
  21. Physical Glib 2.0

“Ironically, Ned is never seen under the influence of drugs.” Good catch.
