  1. Quality
  2. OK 2.5

Instead of a serious “Saving Private Ryan” we get a semi-humorous “Saving Claude Monet”. The story is decent, send in a platoon of art experts to save the world’s gems from Nazi tyranny. However the execution is “meh.” With a cast like the one presented, I expected more in the comedy department and even more in the drama department. It was almost like they all just had a European holiday and phoned this one in.

  3. Good 3.0

If you read a list of names like George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman and more you’d assume something fantastic would happen. Well, apparently not. I can’t fault them entirely – the script was a bit blah, but c’mon. Ok, there was one notable exception: Cate Blanchett was an absolute silver-screen-stunner as the war hardened French woman art maven.

Regarding BrianSez’s Review
“a semi-humorous ‘Saving Claude Monet’” Now that’s funny.
