OK 2.5
I “took one for the team” and saw LBC with my son yesterday. It’s pretty much as you’d expect: silly semi-juvenile humor about getting girls and props by becoming fake cops. Once the novelty of duping others wears off, the flick does pleasantly surprise by turning in to a semi-decent crime drama. Yeah – it actually has seriousness in and among it’s 70% humor focus. In the end 40% hearty laughs, 20% gripping crime drama, and 40% ho hum.

Good 3.0
Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans work well as the party dudes in blue – but Damon’s character was a little soft for my taste. Rob Riggle of NFL lol fame was a bit tame, but surprisingly held up well during the dramatic bits. Nina Dobrev is a cutie
