Terrific review Spaceghost! I was just polishing up my draft when yours came through. Now I think I need to polish mine a little more, so look for it tomorrow. |

Topic: General Movie Discussions / Bad movies and the reviewers who pan them Kudos to Spaceghost for the most entertaining pan I’ve read in a long time, his review of Indiana Jones 4, aka, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. While I liked the movie more than he did, his review made perfect sense to me, and was funny as hell to boot. He basically did a slow burn, getting more irritated as he went along, especially in his Reality commentary, finishing up w/ “I’m getting angry about this movie again. So I’m going to stop. I’ll just say it sucks move on.” |

Topic: Movies / The Incredible Hulk Great review, BrianSez. I’ve been underwhelmed by the trailers. In particular, the new Hulk doesn’t look any more real to me than the one from a few years ago. Different, yes, but still pretty fake. Plus, I have to say I actually liked the previous version, the lame Hulk creation aside. In any case, I’m now stoked to see the new version based on your review. |

Topic: Dialogue / Favorite Quotes from Aliens I have this little thing called love for the movie Aliens. It was 1986, I was 9 and my dad had promised to take me to see it during Saturday matinee the weekend it came out. He went and saw it that Friday after the family unit all went to see something else that night. So here goes nothing:

Topic: General Movie Discussions / Bad movies and the reviewers who pan them I know what you mean about bad movies. If let’s say I rent a movie and it is bad, I will still watch it, but just fast forward until it looks a little better. “Assassination of Jesse James”, though was one that I couldn’t even fast forward through. I feel asleep in the early evening because of this movie and was thrown off my routine for almost a week. I mean even the next day I tried to watch from where I thought I had been the night before and yet I just turned off the dvd in the five minutes that I had started watching it. |

Topic: Movies / The Happening For the life of me, I always had my imagination as a strong armor against anything that came at me. I may be the most gullible person on the planet, but I think the movie was intelligent in the fact that it wasn’t like most where you have all the special effects, buckets of blood, and some indelible monster chasing after everyone. It had this eerily calm tone as if to say I am going to take away the part of the movie that usually lets you feel safe, when everyone is there and reserved and talking to one another. The whole movie made me feel as if I was in a separate room and all the info was being heard almost out of earshot. (I don’t know if I am making sense, sorry if I just get too involved in movies) |

Topic: General Movie Discussions / Best Movies of '07 I was sitting there at the movie theater watching Pirates 3 and like everyone else I didn’t wait for the entire credits to roll. I used to work at a theater and had to [woes me ;)] preview the movies the night before and watch all the way to the end. When I watched it on dvd the extra scene at the end gives it that longing loves lost that you would see in older flicks. |

Fair enough, AMC. I stumbled on Clueless on some cable channel after not having seen it for a decade, and I did enjoy it in a pop, bubble-gum way. Fast Times it ain’t, though. |
